Maryland HB699: Testimony Series
Compelling testimonies from renowned scientists, doctors, public health experts, concerned citizens and students
On March 6, the Health and Government Operations Committee in the Maryland General Assembly heard oral testimonies on Maryland House bill HB699 “Vaccination by Choice Act”. HB699 as amended also protects college students in publicly funded IHEs in the state from providing proof of Covid vaccination in order to attend college. Legislators heard hours of impactful testimonies covering a wide array of well-substantiated support for HB699 with the amendment. Maryland has a history of college mandates dating back to April, 2021.
We are pleased to share oral testimony from Andre Cherry and Christian Cherry.
Andre Cherry
Andre is a 23-year-old man from Philadelphia, PA who has been vaccine injured since June of 2021. His symptoms include tremors, dystonia, flaccid paralysis, and ballismus. Before his Covid vaccine injury, Andre was a college student, musician, composer, and artist.
“My life as a young adult has come to a screeching halt. I cannot rely on my body to perform basic tasks, much less pursue education or employment.”
“I am not alone in my suffering.”

Andre shares his experience with Covid vaccination.
Christian Cherry
Christian, 21, is navigating his new life as his brother’s primary caretaker following Andre’s vaccine injury on June 23, 2021.
“This is the story of an experimental emergency use authorization injection product whose long term effects are not understood … being mandated without informed consent … no real infrastructure ready, willing or able to deal with injured parties and their families.”
- Christian Cherry
Thank you, Andre Cherry and Christian Cherry, for your support for Maryland HB699 with amendments.
